Is it Possible to get to go to a College that is kind of far away from where you live?
I live in the Midwest (in Indiana) and I want to go to USC (Im originally from California btw) sooo I just wanted to know if it was possible to get scholarships if you don't live in a state. What can I do to increase my chances??? HELP!!!!
Thank You so much Alec! I know a girl from my school who got accepted to Harvard and she's really smart, but I know I am doing pretty good in school too ( my GPA is 3.6), I just got to try harder. Im thinking about either USC or Purdue (which seems really tangible for me since I'm in a scholarship program in Indiana), but I want to go back to my Hometown, Los Angeles! And I really like everything about USC!!!!

Extra curriculars are always a good idea, they have a lot of scholarships available for those things if your good at what you do. also colleges like to see culturally diverse student take interest in their school, so if that applies they will most likely have a scholarship. check both USCs website and with your school's college counselor or advisor. good luck.
and go trojans!!!

You can go to college where ever you want, just once you pay your bill. It is possible to get out of state scholarships, but you will likely have to look at the school for scholarships rather than local organizations. Once you get to the school, it'll be easier to find in state organizations that have scholarships. There are some outside scholarships that can be used at any school, just once you meet certain conditions (there's one for women pursuing engineering at certain schools). If you are a minority of any sort, or you're going into a field where you are a minority, then definitely spend some time searching.
