If Your "Reps" truly cared about your job, would they keep pushing for 500,000 + more foreign worker visas?

Bush and the Repubs have been and continue to push for H-1etc. visas to bring in cheap foreign workers to take American jobs from our collage grads etc. Why would they do this, Lobbyists maybe?

    This should stop.

Republicans SUPPOSEDLY support the 'free market', but when that market favors labor......their opinion changes.

If you didn't have H1 then business would be FORCED to train workers to do these jobs. Our universities would be pushed to produce people who can do these jobs, more qualified workers. It's programs like this that provide no incentives for our business organization & education system to actually COMPETE.....to DO SOMETHING.

The H1 program hurts the market for people working in many fields, such as Information Technology and Engineering. It's taking GOOD PAYING jobs from Americans, and has a much more drastic effect than the low paying jobs that 'illegal immigrants' often take. Most of the jobs being lost here are in the $50,000 to $150,000 range.

If anyone says the Republicans support the free market - look at this one issue, and you'll see it's a lie. They don't support the free market....they favor CHEAP LABOR over everything.

you're concerning the H1B application, which permits agencies like microsoft, dell, hp, to hire distant places utility engineers at a less costly fee and without advantages. it is all it is. Does Microsoft somewhat think of there are no longer any american utility engineers interior the US qualified for those jobs. they're purely as grasping simply by fact the panorama employer that hires illegals who artwork for low priced. those visas do no longer something yet shop people unemployed. In circumstances like those, those jobs would desire to circulate to people! i do no longer supply a crap approximately people from different countires. the international isn't honest and it is by no skill going to be. This us of a desires to shield its own and end aggravating approximately what the different us of a thinks approximately us.

That is because most americans that need jobs do not have the education or ability to fill thes postions. Get real look at the state of education in this country a lot of those who graduate with a high school diploma cannot read or do basic math.Let alone those who go to what we call "college"

Actually, those H1 don't bring in "cheap" foreign workers.

They bring in IT guys that make $75k + a year.

The problem is that there actually ARE a lot of jobs out there... but since the American education system is so bad (especially when compared to other parts of the world) there simply aren't qualified candidates to fill them...

What you have to ask yourself is... Why do these companies WANT the H1's? Is Bush forcing this foreign labor on them? And, if they actually WANT them, are you suggesting that they should not be allowed to hire them simply because they are "foreign"?

    Are you a RACIST???

Oh well we are not by ourselves now, as we already have this farce over here in the UK, and they are coming in droves every day. The fact is if they keep on building houses to put them in we will have no Green fields left, and end up covered in concrete

Obama, the Chamber of Commerce, and other organizations are ALL pushing for these visas. YES IT HURTS THE US CITIZEN tremendously. And for that poster who said we don't have enough engineers..........your information is totally wrong. We have plenty of engineers who have had to find jobs NOT in their fields because of these Visa's.

Bush isn't the President and you are confusing Republicans with Democrats.

Democrats and liberal Republicans are pro-open boarders, conservative Republicans are not. In fact, Republicans are the only reason why we've got a border fence.

Your logic is flawed and your question is irritating. This is clearly your opinion and not very sensible in any way, so why even ask? I'm sure you already have your own answer to it. But here, I'll say it so you don't have to.

THIS IS ALL BUSH'S FAULT. WAAAHHH....

    Ah,

Bush is gone so there is no 'continue' to it.

My mantra is "He's gone- it's your guys fault now!"
