I'm worried for him...?

This is about my boyfriend... & it's kind of awkward...

For the past 2 months or so, he's had a lot of pain "down there". He says it's his left testicle & it hurts all the time, especially when he's laying in bed or walking.

I've asked a question similar to this & they said he needs to see a doctor because it's serious... that's got me worried.

What could be wrong?

He's only 17, couldn't be cancer, right?

Update:

He's going to a doctor tomorrow by the way... but I'm still worried :\

I need some ideas...

At the very most a Hernia. Honestly Im a guy and I feel pains there all the time. **** its your balls, nothing is mild about them, so sensitive down there... Ive landed on them wrong while getting in my car and just crushed them. Guys probably over exxagerate a little, but basically its like a sick to your stomach cramping pain that grows and grows and its like I cant breath for 5 minutes when hit hard...
