paper wrapped chicken!!?

i had this at a chinese restaurant in bloomington indiana, it was all ground up an in a foil packet and then deep fried i think this was the best ever the are no longer there i would love to make at home, i have had the ones with big chunks of chicken but this was ground and it was phenominal can you help with a recipee for me thanks will award a best answer

    Wow, I haven't thought of those in a long time, I love those!

    I would use finely chopped chicken or ground chicken

    soy sauce

    chopped scallion

    minced garlic and ginger

    mix well and wrap in foil triangles

    deep fry for 3-4 minutes

    edit--a tsp or 2 of corn starch may help hold it together too now that I think about it

    Jane is correct. However, I would probably add just a little cornstarch for binding and a little bit of toasted sesame oil to the ground chicken mixture. Enjoy!

    Source(s): I'm a personal chef. My Auntie from Hong Kong used to make Paper Wrapped Chicken all the time. When you get a chance try making Chinese style "Shrimp Toast" appetizers too. You'll probably like it.

    actually that is not paper. they are corn husk used in mexican cooking as well as chinese cooking.
