As a small business owner and 5th generation Californian, I have watched this state slide into it's economic mess the last 20 years. Why? The people that vote democratic in this state, vote to allow themselves a take of all the social programs we have.

Additionally there are 238,000 people who work for the state! It's been proven that to simply balance the budget you FREEZE all wages and spending and tie them directly to the inflation rate. But to do so would hurt all the democrats and liberal programs that exist here.

We are turning into Mexifornia and theres no way to stop it...

Semisweet(below) makes a good point. Pelosi spends our tax dollars to the tune of 42,000 dollars a month for her to and fro flights from California to DC. Multiply that times 12.

What gets me is that republicans have no problem of raising taxes on the working poor (the middle class no longer exists) but they come unglued if you want to take away tax breaks for the top one percent!

On top of that, they had the nerve to give themselves a 'cost of living raise' when almost everything is paid for them! It's time for a revolution Californians!
