you are half right.
In reality the system is designed much like a person that abuses his spouse.
They allow the rich to abuse your wallet and when you have enough they come back and appologize for it and buy you some flowers to say they are sorry for the black eye.
The spouse accepts because the whole arrangement provides a stable home life for the most part.
It is done this way, so the rich who actually controls things, can milk you dry, and then make sure you don't feel communism is a good idea.
Because if the workign class get the idea that communism is a good idea, then theyll kick in the rich man's door, drop a tire soaked with gasoline over their head, and redistribute their real property among themselves before the rich man is even done screaming.
Now while it may seem like the person abusing their spouse is the same person, as you imply about parties, when the person is buying flowers and candy, actually they are truly sorry for what they have done.
They just can't control their earlier actions.
this is also true of the government.

Not everyone is guilty of blind faith. Many see the flaws in our supposed 2 party system. And yes many see this as a type of slavery. Especially if they get caught up in the credit card, consumerism, etc. of it all. I Personally don't think this is the way it was meant to be. However it is what we have and we must deal with. I have no suggestions except to do the best we can and wait and see how it all unfolds. In comparison to some situations. It could be far worse. We could be The Sudan or Zimbabwe. So continue to fight the good fight and have faith. The Universe always does as it should.

Because that would require individual effort that--at best--would result in a new way of running the American political system. Who wants to do that when you can sit at home, armchair quarterback some foreign and domestic policy, then feel that it's not your problem because you picked the right team?
It's much easier to be lazy--even when it means getting ship on--then it is to be progressive, throw yourself out there and challenge your mind.
We live in a lazy country full of self-important people who are only interested in the rest of the world when their problems make it to their actual, individual doorstep. It'll take full on totalitarianism and the blasting away of individuality in this country before people realize that they're being duped from the get-go by these people in Washington that we lazily accept so much from.
We blast the rich people, but then let these people--the ones with true power--subvert the system, excercise their own personal whims and walk all over us. But like I said, that's a whole lot easier than caring.
Bunch of rubes.

I agree completely. People on both "sides" are convinced that their "party" is the one that's right for "America".
Ron Paul, deliver us from evil. Amen.

It's like one is sending us to hell and the other is sending us there quicker. Take your pick they both suck. I am a conservative, not a republican, we are not the same thing. I can respect democrats, liberals, just as long as I am respected.

Couldn't agree more, they both work for the FED and the money that put them there. Not their constituents that voted them in.
