Yes in dreams which are completely different to ordinary dreams. Also when my M-I-L died we got home about midnight from the hospital and about an hour later when we were letting the dogs outside, three large white butterflies circled around us. Not very often you get one butterfly out and about at 1 in the morning, even more odd to have 3 together in a group at that time. They stayed there for a good five minutes just fluttering around me and my husband. Yes , before anyone asks, they were definately butterflies it's pretty hard to mistake them for moths when they were so close for such an extended period of time. In the days afterward she died, we would both get butterflies just flying on to us and staying there as if they were quite content to be there. It was a pretty special experience!

Well I'm still on the fence on weather or not I believe in all that - But my great grandmother (who I loved very dearly) passed away on Halloween this year, and it turned out that she left my fiance and I, her house. The first night that we stayed there I was up late at night playing on the computer when, all of a sudden, my two dogs started going ballistic. They were barking and growling and hackling up. It really startled me - so I turned around to see what in the world they could possibly be barking at. They were barking at the couch right behind me. The couch. Nothing visible was there. At all. It was the same spot on the couch that my grandmother would always curl up and tell me stories of "back in the day". It seriously scared me so I ran to get my fiance. When I brought him back into the living room the dogs were then barking at the same chair I had been sitting in. My larger dog continued to growl - but my little chihuahua stopped abruptly and tilted his head like he was watching someone walk across the room. My fiance - who's vastly more spiritual than I - simply said "It's just Ruth" and went back to bed.

So I'll never know 100% if it WAS my grandma - but it has deffinatly changed my thinking about "spirits" and such.

I dont remember how old I was, grade school. A lady from church had died, and we got a Christmas card from her the day after her funeral. Obviously, she sent it before she died, but it was kind of nice to get that and remember that she was still alive in the people that knew her.

Not contacted by, but coincidentally thought upon them, without knowing they had just died or were dying. Have also had dreams about them soon after. But not "contacted by."
