What parts are a must when rebuilding a 4L60e?
I have 2002 Chevrolet Suburban,half ton 2wd. I am looking to have my transmission rebuilt. I want to know whats parts do I need to make sure have a better than stock transmission>

I assume you know what you are doing? transmission repair on automatics can be tricky. also do not scrimp on the torque converter, buy a heavy duty

You could replace all the rubber and plastic spacers etc. with steel ones, and replace the organic clutches with semi-metallic, use a synthetic trans. fluid. Ask the opinion of your transmission shop, and install a transmission cooler when the rebuilt trans is installed.
