Christians, isn't it suspicious that humans are not the center of the universe?
If God created the physical universe with the intent of making humans, wouldn't that make humans the center of meaning? If we are the center of meaning, why are we not the center of the universe?
Why would God even create a universe to begin with? Most of which we didn't have the technology to map until recently. What is the reason God would created the entire extra-earthly astrological universe?
To me it's suspicious because it seems almost as if God created them thinking "Gee, I hope they invent something to see this one day...". That doesn't seem plausible to me.
And please, if you're just going to say only God knows or something to that extent, don't bother answering.
I'm not talking metaphysics here, TC :D But thanks.
Angel, I don't believe in the Big Bang.
What now?

I agree. Unfortunately for a true answer to be derived from this question, a Christian will have to strip themselves of their Ego and answer one hundred and ten percent truthfully. It seems to me they just type in the problem to some directory and quote whatever pops up.

If the earth were the center of the universe we would have no knowledge of the Universe itself because of the clouds of stars and toxic gasses that occupy it. If the earth were placed in a location closer to the center we wouldn't have the ability to detect dark energy from the beginning of time, and we would have no knowledge of how we began. Therefore we would have simply assumed that the universe was eternal, and had no beginning.

as a manner to be Muslim or Christian, one has to settle for that GOD is the middle of the universe. people are disposable. subsequently why i do no longer enroll in atheism, i discover that conceited and ignorant guy isn't worth of being the middle of the universe, some greater being who's accustomed to a lot greater suitable than we little and replaceable ones do-God.

Okay, you have asked a question that i think we all wonder about at some point. I don't know the answer other than maybe that we aren't alone in the universe, it seems kinda out there to think we may be the only ones ever created. But it also seems out there to think that we aren't. So i don't know, its surely a mystery. But i don't see everything or know everything and God does so i know there has to be a good reason.(shrug) peace to you....

Put that in a syllogism -- You'll die of embarrassment.
But the single worst thing to me is that you are unaware that an even stronger version of your feeling existed in BIBLICAL times !!
3 When I consider your heavens,
the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars,
which you have set in place,
4 what is man that you are mindful of him,
the son of man that you care for him?
5 You made him a little lower than the heavenly beings [c]
and crowned him with glory and honor.
6 You made him ruler over the works of your hands;
you put everything under his feet:
7 all flocks and herds,
and the beasts of the field,
8 the birds of the air,
and the fish of the sea,
all that swim the paths of the seas.

Humans aren't the center of the universe. There are many levels of reality.

Nope, not suspicious at all.
God created humans to worship Him. And He commands us to be UNselfish and to pursue helping others. That's sounds suspiciously like gravitating away from the very thought of being the center of the universe. :)

I most certainly do not think I should be the center of the universe.I believe God has created a endless universe and I believe billions of life forms, thus the title Creator.

The Almighty created this universe to reveal His glory, and for your information, humans are indeed at the center of the universe.
