Should i read the twilight series?

Well, as long as you aren't expecting a literary masterpiece or something as great as Harry Potter, you will probably like the books.

Here's the thing.

Twilight is a nice fluff novel, the type that doesn't require you to think. It has enough romance and "suspence," I guess, to pull a reader through the series. But it is *not* well written, there are plot holes, underdeveloped characters, and a major lack of morals.

I've given you the two sides- the good and the bad. So you can decide whether Twilight is worth picking up or not.

I think that it depends on your age, if you are a teen or young adult i think that you would really enjoy it. Its an un-typical love story that is sure to keep your interest. But i could see how if you were and older adult (like 40 and +) how you might think its is shallow. I am a young adult and its truly the only book series that i have completely finished and i Absolutely loved it. I actually just finished the series earlier this week. Honestly I'm re-reading the first book right now..pathetic i know haha....but i say go for it and make up your mind on whether its good or not, and stop listening to the people who hate on it so much (whichi wouldn't be surprised if they haven't even read it anyway)..what do you have to loose? :)

I love Twilight. The author isn't a very good writer, but she's a very good storyteller.

I would say yes, read it. It is a "summer break" read. When you want a fun, easy read, pick up Twilight.

If you want just entertainment--go for it if you want.

But if you actually want to get something out of it, such as a life lesson, or something to really make you ponder on--then.... maybe not.

Twilight is really just about an 'average' girl who finds, what she believes, to be 'the most perfect guy on the planet who just happens to be a vampire that sparkles and has supernatural powers.'

Honestly, it doesn't do anything for you except 'entertain' you. (I was bored after the 1st one. But others find otherwise, which is fine.)

It doesn't matter if you read it or not. It WILL NOT change your life if you do or don't.

go into a store and glance through it. If it looks good, read it, if not than don't. If you can't get to a store go to Amazon.com and click on the picture to "look inside the book." Read some reviews and find out if it's right for you. You can even buy it used for pretty cheap (plus shipping and handling).

We don't know you and don't know what's a good match for you, but you can do this on your own and *gasp* make up your own mind.

No but its really your choice. Your IQ might drop and you possibly might start going crazy over the over protective, stalking, sparkly vampire who sniffs his girlfriend for fun. The plot of the book sucks, the characters are personality less and dull. Every other sentence is a duplicate of the next and the main character is an annoying brat who calls herself Bella. You've been warned.

I wasn't going to read them either until my best friend basically made me. They are actually good books. Not the best writing though, but if you want an easy read then they are perfect. And they also have some nice action and a good love story to it.

I would suggest them!

Well, it's cute and addicting, but after that you realize it's not a great work of literary art. It's just another teen book about a perfect guy and being in love with some fake action tossed in.

Sure, read it. Everyone has different opinions.

Yea I think you should read it. I hated reading but when I picked up Twilight I got hooked and couldn't stop reading it.(:
