I had season tickets to the Seahawks for five years (during their current run of NFC West titles and their SB appearance). So I've seen most of the NFL teams in Seattle.

From what I've seen, fans of the Packers, Bears, Eagles, Giants, Vikings, Cowboys, Dolphins, Raiders, 49ers, and even the Rams have had strong showings in Seattle when their teams come to play the Hawks. I was really surprised to see so many Dolphins fans in the stands when they came to Seattle in 2004, a year in which the Dolphins were horrible.

They don't travel as well as you think. Cincy, Cleveland, and even Balttimore are not that far from Pittsburgh.

In, say, Arizona, those are Arizona Steeler fans. You have to extremely rich or unemployed to follow the team on 8 road trips per year.

how do you know that it's not just fans in the city? either way, you always seem to see a number of cowboys or steelers fans in the crowd no matter what team they play. it's just easier to see the steelers fans because of all the towels, like in the tennessee game i think there were more steelers fans than titans fans, and i thought it was hilarious that tennessee blew them out.

Dallas seems to have fans EVERYWHERE! Love 'em or hate 'em, the Cowboys seem to travel really well. All you need to do is look at ticket sales (particularly for bad teams) and see how the Cowboys draw.
