Why doesn't my computer stay formatted?

I did a reformat on my computer with the original disk.

The computer worked great...

I didn't use it for almost a week and when I turned it on I got an error page and had to reformat it again with the disk.

It did this 3 times and so I gave up...

I also tried another hard Drive and the same thing happened

The computer is an Acre Veriton 7200D

It's a 1.8 with 512 ram

Update:

I don't remember the exact thing it said except something like File corrupt and I got a blue screen and it said the computer was shut down to protect it.

The disk work good cause I had to use them in my other acer to get online and am useing the computer now

Guess you're having problem with the motherboard. Try to reset the the motherboard. (there are 3pins u can find beside the bios. u will find a jumper or cap on the left and middle legs. remove it and put it on right and middle leg. start the pc...no screen will appear...leave it for 1min. then shut down the PC. put back the jumper in it's own place...left & middle leg. OR u can remove the motherboard bios-battery for a few minutes) Then start install the XP.

If this dose not help...then u might having another problem...and u need to be very clear on that matter. (like which msg u're getting)

    Problems which u may having:

01.(Roundary Data cycle error msg) HDD is weak now...so it is failing to keep the data.

02.(Not enough memory msg) Prob with the RAM.

    03.(Dump-prep msg) VIRUS!!!

04.Check ur processor's fan is working or not.

05.after checking all the prob..if u're having the same prob...then it might be the XP cd/dvd.

Since the another hard drive has the same issue it shouldn't be drive problem.

you have not mentioned the error detail.

    Installation disk might have problem

    processor migh be heating

just guessing in absence of error details.

Would help to know what the error was, it could be many things, maybe your windows installation is corrupted or your hard drive is having issue.

ok so first remove the VHF card located in the center bottom section of the PC

Then connect with a new version still saving all important data and pics and all

    then reboot

    and then<3 me

It would help to know which version of Windows you are talking about.

It would also help if you would explain the error page and what it said.

    I agree with Jim
