Can you donate a kidney if you have a family history of diabetes?

My dad has diabetes and left it uncontrolled for most of his life. He how has kidney failure. Since his mom has diabetes, it seems as though I'll probably get it at some point in my life. I am very active, eat well, drink in moderation. If I am a blood and tissue match for my dad, would I even be allowed to donate since I may end up with the same problems later in life?

I am a type one diabetic and hereare my feelings on the subject:

The problem with organ donation for Diabetics is that the organs are usually saturated with insulin. However, if you do not the symptoms of diabetes you can donate even if you develop symptoms later in life. Kidneys are not related to the onset of diabetes but are the target of negative effects. If you feel however that you might develop it later, it might be better to wait and see if your fathers doctors can find another match as you may need one yourself should you develop it.

As always consult your Physician but you should have little to no problems if you have already been ruled as a match.

I'm a 45 year old woman and was recently diagnosed as being a borderline diabetic. My doctor prescribed some medication, but before filling it I decided to do some research on the internet which led me to the methods. After reading this ebook and applying the methods, my scepticism turned to 100% belief. I noticed that my energy levels increased significantly and I felt more rested in the morning, my symptoms started going away.

I am very happy to tell you that I have been feeling better than I have felt in years and my doctor informed me that he will be taking me off my prescriptions if I keep this up.

I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

If you see that your dad isn't in control of his diabetes then I doubt you will do the same as he did. You learn from other peoples mistakes. Just take care of your body and maybe you will be lucky enough not to worry about getting diabetes. I do not see why you wouldn't be allowed to donate a kidney, talk to the doctors about it.

As diabetes is controllable even if you are diagnosed later in life you can still live a long healthy life so it is worth talking to your fathers doctor and offer to be tested as a possible donor.
