If you have problems with your mail system on 360, the first step is to delete messages stored in your inbox, sent mail, and outstanding invitations folders. Sometimes that clears up most problems.
If you have already seen the mail from that person through 360 and deleted it in 360, then trying to access that message from a Y!Mail alert will generate an error. If a person has deleted their Yahoo account and their 360 space has disappeared, the message will no longer be viewable.
