Expensive try Coach Insignia or The Whitney, you really cannot beat either for romance.

Seldom Blues has great atmosphere and is just great.

Small Plates is fun on Broadway, romantic and as expensive or cheap as you want depending on what you order.

    For Italian try Mario's.

Hockeytown Cafe and Chelis Chili Bar are always fun type experience places.

Pizza Pappolis in Greektown is a tasty treat. For greek food I go to Cyprus in Greektown.

I like Cuban food at Vincente's on Library, BBQ at Slow's on Michigan Ave. and there is always the great Traffic Jam and Snug, everything is house made and they brew their own beers.

Fishbone's is great and a fun experience too. Great New Orleans style food.

In Mexicantown I usually go to Xochilmilco's, there is good Mexican at El Barzone in Corktown too. Fun.

You can't come to Detroit without getting a coney dog! Go to the Lafayette Coney island and they will hook you up right.

Fishbone's in Greektown, right in the heart of downtown. It's fun, great food. Tom's Oyster Bar is good too, off of Jefferson. The Casinos have good steakhouses and seafood and buffets. In the Rennasiance Center, Coach Insignia and Seldom Blue. I'm sure all of these places have websites.

I like Hoo Hot, a Mongolian grill. You pick out noodles, sauces, veggies, etc. from a salad-bar like set-up and then you go up to the cook who cooks it right in front of you. It's very different and a fun place to check out
