You know, the pictures with the black border and captions? It seems like I've been seeing them everywhere on the internet here lately. Where did they originate from or gain popularity?

I first noticed them on myspace. They were comments to send out.

People just find then hilarious so they made more and sent them around, eventually everybody was loving them.
I personally don't find them funny though..
