Stimulus Question.....do i quit paying my bills?
Is it just me or does it seem like the only way to get help from this great stimulus package you need to put yourself FURTHER in debt. If you buy a house you get a credit,,,credit for buying a NEW car,,,credit for raking up college debt,,,credit for making my home energy efficient (have you priced new energy furnaces?) If i quit paying my mortgage I can get help. what about if i am BARELY making payments. or the car i drive (with NO payment) drops the transmission. I pay my bills, i scrape borrow and budget. Our head is barely above water, but if we fall under the water they we will get help. seems to me there is a bit of a problem there. and just what does STD prevention do to help me pay my bills and get ahead? what does a new fleet of fancy golf carts for the government do to help me avoid foreclosure?
I guess my question is,,,do i stop paying my bills and wait for help? seems that is the only way you will get it.
13$ tax credit on my paycheck wont even pay for the gas to get to work to pay the taxes in the first place.
What happened to paying your bills, keeping your credit clean. Seems the way to go now is to let the bills go by the wayside and wait for the government to give a handout
Alan S,,,,,i have had my fair share of knocks. you should not pass judgement on people YOU know nothing about. i was asking a question as to HOW this GREAT stimulus was going to help me and my family. the things they are reporting will NOT help OUR FAMILY one bit. yeah ok,,13$ that will help with a gallon of milk and a loaf of bread. What I am upset about is I live in a budget and know my boundries,,,but we still struggle. This stimulus package TO ME doesnt really seem to help OUR FAMILY.

i printed the bill out earlier but they keep adding more to it, even after it was 'passed'.
it is written so that it is difficult to understand as it make your go back and refer to other sections to try to understand that section. it gives them ambiguous powers that they can interpret to mean what they want it to mean. congress didn't even read the bill yet passed it. how can that be? yet it is.
most of all, most of it is UNCONSTITUTIONAL.
obama supporters don't want anyone saying anything negative about obama.
i wish everyone would read this pile of crap and then see if they still think it is going to help us in anyway at all.
this gave the 'givernment' unlimited powers. welcome big brother, he has arrived and the liberals laid out the red carpet for him.

It seems like you have your world together and not only don't need a few extra bucks a week but seem offended by it. go down to your local food pantry or homeless shelter (there's one near you) and give them the money, they won't complain I can assure you.
BTW: many people didn't choose to stop paying their bills. many got laid off and after a few months of not finding work took a job at a lower pay just to get back to work. Some have been through that cycle more than once. review your budget and see if you could get by on 75% of your current earnings.

So very true. Now Obama will reward those who bought homes, but couldn't afford them with his next mortgage bail out plan. Reward BAD Behavior is Obama's motto.
