Refugees from USA, what can we do?

To those who say "If you hate america so much, why don't you leave?"

The answer of course is, we are people who have been abused by our government and society. We do not have the means to leave. But, since it would be to our mutual benefit to leave, I have come up with a solution to everyone's problem! The creation of a new non-profit organization to help people escape as political refugees of america. Jobs and shelter and food would be provided for those who need to escape america.

Why do we want to escape america? It has a massive focus on money, and nothing else. Corporations and politicians get away with things that the normal citizen would be in jail for dozens of years for. Our government treats civil rights like a pogo-stick (something to jump up and down on). Our foreign policy is something that would make Hitler gasp in shock and disgust. A complete lack of morals seems to rule the majority of uneducated fools in this country. Religion and fear seem to rule the mind of citizens more than common sense or decency.

American culture seems to be along the lines of: Be like us, or be imprisoned or killed. How is this any different than the terrorists we so claim to hate? Or the nazis that we frown upon in history? The fact is, there is no difference. The only difference is that people in america are trained to believe its a different situation. However, wrong is still wrong. Just because we won World War II doesn't give us the right to trample the rest of the world in the name of consumerism and minimum wage jobs.

Like many of you, I voted for Obama. That is something I greatly regret now. Not to say McCain would have been better, but at least he didn't lie during his campaign. Obama said he didn't believe in the wars, and now he has sent more troops (with the dollars we need to escape this totalitarianism) to Afghanistan. Why? To promote more terroristic attacks against our country by people who wish to be left alone. He said he would cut programs and agencies that didn't work from the federal budget. He lied. He increased spending on these failed programs. He is the same as any other politician, regardless of our dreams and hopes that he would fix things. He won't, he will just perpetuate the downgrade of society into pure evil.

Since so many people claim "If you hate america so much, why don't you leave?", I have been granted the vision of creating an organization to help people escape america as political refugees to another country. Anything else is nothing short of inhumane.

Anyone is free to have their own opinion. However, since no one has to literally escape from America, no one is a refugee in any real sense. I worked with real refugees for a number of years, including Afghans. Comparing Americans to those people is more of an insult to them than it is to the US. Anyone can leave whenever they wish, at least as far as the US government is concerned. If they have problems leaving it will have to do with finances or finding another country that would be willing to take them on a permanent basis.

I guess you didn't do your homework very well.  Obama had said all through the race that he wanted to send troops to Afghanistan.  Which I fully support.  He said he would draw down troops in Iraq which he is doing.  Lets face it, they can afford their own war and didn't have WMD as Bush lied about.  

He stated he would cut programs that didn't work and fund those that did.  Help education, health care etc.  So far he has done exactly that.  

He said he would ask for accountability from those companies asking for money and today GM sent a business plan.  Some banks left empty handed rather than be held accountable.  Imagine that!

Today he is trying to help people holding mortgages in homes worth more than they owe.  Thank Bush again on that one.  Well Bush and deregulation...same difference. 

The way I see it, his first days has been spent cleaning up the mess Bush has left. 

Hope you find a nice home someplace that doesn't kill you for speaking out. One that isn't run by a government that elects itself.  

As for me, I love my country and all its faults.  Im sure there is some illegal alien someplace willing to take your job and place in the welfare line.

USA is not at war inside USA so americans are not eligible to apply for refugee status anywhere in the world. 

This is seen in the applications of a number of American soldiers who went AWOL and ran to Canada. They are now being deported from Canada and sent back to USA where they belong. 

 Economic depression is also NOT an approved reason to claim refugee status.

You cannot apply for refugee status in any country if you are an American. Because to qualify as a refugee you have to be in imminent danger of being killed or imprisoned for your political beliefs if you are returned to your home country.

That means you do not qualify to be a refugee in any country.

Don't let the door hit you on the way out.  Just a reminder, though, if you made statements like that in Cuba, you would be jailed right now.  In saudi Arabia, you would be stoned to death.  In Iran, you would quietly disappear.  Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it....
