who or what should we blame for the reason why many like Henrietta Hughes are homeless?
Conservatives attack the poor for any problems they may have ie; Henrietta Hughes reason for being homeless. conservative public media emphasizes that Hughes didn't explain the cause of her financial turmoil. Obama didn't ask her either! obviously majority of people brainwashed by the conservative public media naturally tend to blame the individual for their problems.ie; homelessness, etc. ie; they are lazy and want to milk the government.

now let me ask you this question: could someone become homeless working hard ie; work full time for ie ; BURGER KING?
http://www.alternet.org/blogs/workplace/127392/
we are programed to even blame ourselves for all the problems we may have
as i mentioned majority of people specially the very victims of the society blames themselves for their problems. people like perflexed& bill. we can all agree that we have no choicewhich family we born into. on where and as we are learning more about the brain, we learn how important the environment and/ or societies are for human development. many people have children who are not fit to be a parent. no thanks to the traditional ways of disiplining children majority have ben abused emotionally and physically and the viciou.se cycle keeps repeating itself. many will have developmental disabilities.the stage of infancy is the most critical stage of development( from when inside the mothers womb). then it depends on the kinds of facilities available to the child. so people do make bad decisions however such poor decisions are mostly influenced by their societies many have developmental disabilities.
then it depends on what kinds of facilities are available for the individual, as we know there are many young men and women who really want to continue their education however it is very expensive and as a result many can't fulfill all their potentialities. it is not fair to say that they made the choice for not continuing their education many talents are being wasted. there are so many factors and most evidences point to the environment to be the deciding factor rather than the individual.
after all why do we all the sudden agree to an uneducated , poor person when they choose to blame themselves for their problems?! what makes them to be correct in this case? why do we agree that they now know who or what is the main cause for their problems and why they are in poverty? isn't that a contradiction?
society needs to help out by spending money on prevention. provide and enforce the right and healthy environment and break the cycle or it will only gets worse since the unfit parents and conditions bring more than one child into this world and those children do the same and the numbers of victims increase geometrically. good schools, free collage with good and up to date facilities, after school activities, and so on. after the society meets these obligations then they may start blaming the society! agreed?
spent the money on these programs rather than interventions, prisons, weapons, etc. some may call me anti american! believe it or not! how could anyone be accused for being anti american while advocating for the better future for the next generation?!

Many people have become homeless because they have lost their jobs and can't pay their bills. Many people have become homeless because they were pawns in the subprime lending mess. Many people have become homeless because of stupendous medical bills.
These people are not lazy slobs. They are victims of a governmental ideology that favored free market over regulation, that spent money needed for governmental programs, designed to help the destitute, on a needless and expensive war, a war fraught with fraud and misuse of money. They are victims of a country swamped by Greed, where liberalism is a dirty word and "Me, First" has been the creed.
Now that we are on a journey that will return us to the land of Sanity, the sore losers are trying hard to continue spreading their dogma of greed. Blaming Henrietta Hughes for homelessness, whatever the cause, is an illustration of what was wrong with Conservative philosophy. If Henrietta Hughes were a CEO of a large Corporation, she could give herself a huge bonus while her company goes down the tubes, employees are laid off and stockholders left penniless. She would be admired for her foxy cleverness, and lauded for her greed.
The very people who caused this economic chaos are working hard to place the blame on the people victimized by their ideology of selfishness and greed.

Some people just don't have the capacity for understanding. They live in a system within a system and go to parties and meetings and rarely, if ever, have bothered to ingest even a little about the plight of so many millions in their own country. They're willing to spend billions on stupid wars while they let the foundations of a great country crumble and fall. They have no empathy toward the down and out nor even a little sympathy. The elite's loss of these facets that help bind a country together have been weened out of their consciousness.
They don.t mind wasting trillions of dollars murdering civilians - children, mothers, fathers, grandparents with their air strikes ad free fire orders. They are incapable of having any real caring abilities.
If America would stop cutting up the world into pieces called "American Interests" and took some care back home maybe, just maybe we could begin to work toward a just society.
I would say that this will never happen as the elite is so damned pleased with being the new type of royalty in America just like the royalty we gained independence from more than 200 years ago. Perhaps a modern revolution will become the only real way the regain a smart, empathetic society that we are conned into thinking we have now.
Obviously a cultural evolution will not be the answer.
There will always be a host of people that just won't make the grade a rise above menial labour. We are not all born with the smarts that let some people ease their way through school with little trouble.
Others not so bright may have the will power to make the grade while others will not have the gift of that will power.
There will always be various levels of intelligence, of opportunity, of luck - good and bad - of strength to carry on and so. But isn't it the role of a country to take care of its own and to, at least, provide a decent minimum of care to those that need it.
Isn't it claimed that anyone born in America could become president? Tell me, how many of you really have that chance. Yes we're living a lie and it would be best to acknowledge this a start looking after everyone here properly.

Trickle down economics. Reagan and Bush I over 12 years left a huge national debt. Clinton did not but then Bush II mortgaged our futures and enslaved our country for generations by using the U.S. treasury like it was a credit card with no limit. All while giving tax cuts to the wealthy. Reagan started union busting too - the safety net that kept so many from being homeless - so long benefit packages, so long pensions. So long the ever increasing CEO pay that often finds its way out of the country or in offshore tax free banks. This is not rocket science. It's trickling down all right, but a gentleman would never identify exactly what the liquid is that is trickling. I'm sure we can all fill in the blanks.

Besides the demand for interest / dividend / increased values, by anyone and every corporate investor? I blame the demand for 7% roi and interest on financial dealings first. It creates an immediate loss of value to the client, and an unreasonable expectation of profits for the lien holder. It is what drives capital markets.
Which require an increasing number of low end players, or a few wealthy chumps, to sustain itself.
The other thing I blame is the systemic belief throughout the financial sector that increasing returns are possible in a closed system. There are no new states where FRNs are required for commerce. The military has not increased the value of foreign debt compared to the loss of life, equated to the imperial demand for more entry level consumers in foreign lands.
We can blame the destruction of life, at the WTC in particular, for the current financial crises. And the desire for more than we need (greed). Because in a closed system, greed creates a vacuum that displaces stable individuals and families for the benefit of profit seekers.
Edit: Compassion must be as valued highly for 'love one another' to have integrity of meaning in real life. "Take care of each other". Not just via charity and safety net programs, either.

"conservative public media" are you mad????? The liberal media is much bigger and sways public opinion more. All "conservative public media" can do is try to sort out the lies from the liberal media. Remember the only president to be impeached in the last 50 years was a beloved liberal. ie. BILL CLINTON

the individual, is to blame for their problem.
if they are successful, are they not responsible for their success.
look at it this way,,,, how is it possible that you are responsible in any way or form for somebody you never met or knew.
if the best you can do is work at burger king, what the f**k were you doing in school. did you study or party,,,,
every decision an individual makes comes into play, maybe not tomorrow, it may take years.
I'm 50, was making a six figure income without a college degree.
Now, laid off, because I never finished my formal education my options are limited. But, because I never bought a house I couldn't afford, and saved money, if the economy don't recover before my money runs out,,, theres going to be bigger problems than my concern.
By the way, I was homeless 6 years ago.

wow. you found conservative public media. other than fox I didn't think there were any.
OK so you want someone else to blame for poor ppl's problems. the only way you can do that is you would have to have complete control of that person and their decisions. I think in a free society we make our own decisions and are held accountable for them. call me silly but I am programed that way.

Capitalism, Bush, and a lack of caring in terms of screwed up priorities.
