I didn't see that, but nowadays it isn't too farfetched, unfortunately. The good thing is the jars usually have the little button on top that 'pops' when the jar is opened, so most people would notice that the jars were tampered with. Also, the Gerber baby food jars I used to buy had the plastic seal around the top of the jar that you had to tear and peel off before using.
I have no idea why someone would even think to do that, unless she was someone who didn't or couldn't have kids and was bitter about it.
ETA - Ok - I just watched the video posted above, and that's just plain weird...

Yeah I saw that. I told my hubby about it. She should be brought up on attempted murder charges but we know that isn't going to happen. And props to the grocery store workers for spotting that and doing something about it instead of ignoring it.They probably saved a bunch of babies lives. People are just sick.

I haven't got to see it but heard from it. I think that woman is crazy. Maybe she lost a baby from dieing or children service or she can't have children and she mad. And don't want other woman having baby. It hard to tell. I be getting on my news website and read about it.

Oh lord...If its not one thing its another! Who would do that??? Some people really have no sense whatsoever! People like her should be banned from having children and social contact with people! If you cant act right, and be a civil human being im sorry, but you don't deserve freedom.

That is some crazy sh*t right there, this woman must not have any kids of her own... and wants to make it so other people don't either. She probably needs to get a job or something cause she has alot of time on her hands otherwise.

It just shows yet again how many sick people there are out there! That's why it is very important to make sure when you open anything you hear the "pop" or check to make sure the safety seal is intact. If not, then throw it out!

I saw the video and story. They did a brief psychiatric evaluation on her and then delivered her to jail.
I'd say that psychiatric evaluation or not, this woman is not even close to being alright in the head.

i heard a bit about it. i personally think someone like that should be legal to shoot on sight.
i dunno dutch, i think this is worse, with murder, rape, etc, there is an immediate satisfaction factor...or heat of the moment,,,depending on the person i guess. but this person was sneaking poison into baby food, she would never see the results of what she one except for maybe as a news story, so there would be no real satisfaction, i think that makes it even more sick and twisted

No, I didn't see that.
What a maniac.
In this case she should be charged with attempted homicide. Why would anyone one earth do something like that.
That's just sickening.
Always be sure to check seals and anything you feed your baby to ensure it hasn't be tampered with.

Thats awful. my daughter is much older now (18m) I did use jars till I realised fresh food tasted better and was more nutritional. Sure they are handy, and I used them if we were going out, rarely. But still, you dont know who is handling them.
