I don't even know if this is your type of manga... most of them are shoujo, btw, but most are also in the comedy section. If you're looking for something like Death Note, I recommend Code Geass, the anime. Spiral is also a psychological anime/manga, if you're looking for that. I can't find anything remotely similar to School Rumble except for Fruits Baskets and Azumanga Daioh... it's one of a kind. :)

Try Hellsing, Trigun, Rurouni Kenshin, Gingrave, or Cowboy Bebop. Also don't forget Inuyasha, Ghost int the Shell, and Paranoid Agent(Little slugger). I think they are all very good, but the Hellsing and Rurouni Kenshin are my favorite.
