Should we close the US borders?

I believe that a great deal of money is being spent on people who aren't even from the US. Many of our jobs that teenagers used to do (fast food etc.) are taken by foreigners now. I left the restaurant business because I as a white man, was pushed out. Even tho I learned Spanish. These f**kers from south of the border are willing to do my job for much much less. They ruined my career. We spend so much raising their "anchor children", feeding them, teaching them English for free, sending them and their spawn to college. I again as a white man do not "qualify" for ANY financial aid. I pay taxes and I DONT QUALIFY? WTF I am so FKG fed-up. I live in SoCalif and so it's really prevalent here. As well as the Vietnamese invasion that has happened here. If we closed the borders and stopped immigration for 10 years, our monetary problems would be solved.

Update:

I remember a day (not that long ago) that we Americans worked the farms picking our OWN strawberries earning a living to feed our families. And BTW why the California hating? I never said anything about NV!

Update 2:

Well Mr. Wooglet, explain Ms. Octuplet and her 14 children that I as a California taxpayer am paying for. Explain the day workers in front of Home Depot everyday. Explain the $$ spent on police in my city fighting crime committed by out of work immigrants that are depressed and so drink their sorrows away and get into drunk trouble. Their children that follow their lead and end up in gangs. Gangs that have gun fights and shoot little girls (anchor children) that are taken to the county hospital and receive "free" care. That care isn't free sir, I and every good citizen with a job in this state pay for it in our taxes

Update 3:

I am going to try my best to not patronize businesses that hire non-english speaking persons. No more fast food for me I guess. Maybe McDonalds will get it!

Yes, we should close our borders for a lengthy period of time. The downside to this is that...it may become permanent. You and I are putting a time limit on it, but who really knows? Sometimes, we have to take the good with the bad. Other times, we have to keep out the good in order to keep out the bad. In this case, I think the second option makes more sense.

We should kick out the illegal 'aliens.' Don't give them rights by referring to them as immigrants. I am an immigrant. My family members are immigrants. Illegal aliens should be deported...and they really should have no rights.

Rights should be available to those who actually respect this country. If they truly respect this country, they would not cross over illegally and then (as if that isn't enough) raise all heck and heighten the U.S. crime rate.

    Mike Huckabee, 2012!

    He wants to...

    1. build a 700-mile border fence.

    2. increase border patrol.

    3. prevent amnesty.

    4. punish the employers (who knowingly hire illegals).

    5. modernize the legal immigration process.

A major factor seem to be over looked some how. Billions are being shipped to mexico every year from the revenue created by American business. Billions spent to cover medical cost across this nation, just to keep many of them just open. Mostly on the boarder states. I guess if all else fails, all we need to do is get a real dark tan, then we can at least get free health care like the mexicans.

We should have closed it Decades ago.The Damage Illegals have done to this Country is obvious,if you live anywhere in the American Southwest.

I've seen it,I live it everyday in San Antonio. In fact I recently moved, and was so glad to get out of the Neighborhood, what was once a good neighborhood but no longer.

At this point I would support setting up fences,Walls or Sniper Posts.Whatever it takes!!

That would do nothing. When were the borders open? We spend 145 billion dollars a year keeping illegals out. Fact is right now more are leaving than coming. Even people with citizenship and and green cards. It is easier to be broke back home. Illegals do not come here for freedom any more and there are no jobs. The people with green cards are now accepting jobs harvesting vegetables for a 145 dollars a week, and migrant workers can no longer get that work.

I think we should close the border and electrify the fence.

But...We should let in a controlled amount of immigrants at a time with a temporary work visa. They can come here, pick strawberries and fruits and such, then they get their money and go back to their homeland with a lot more money.

The economy would do poorly without somebody to work on the farms

NO. We should close the borders after we get every illegal out for good.

We spend 338 billion per year on illegal immigration. Follow AZ laws.

It's called ILLEGAL Immigration for a reason.

I live in Nevada, and personally, I'd rather seal the border with California. They're the ones screwing everything up. The Mexicans just work hard.
