Best free computer cleanup applications?

I want to cleanup my desktop and laptop, are there any good programs out there to do it for you (and WELL). I have been slowly doing it myself, but running into problems (windows still tries to load deleted items, etc)

    System Mechnic is available for trail for some days.

    try to search in google "system mechnic" you can use free for trail period. It is very strong and lot of feature like security, recovery option having , If you can afford licence version you will really come to know about this

    i use spybot search and destroy, and windows' regedit.
