Do you regret more of things you did or things you did not do in life?

Sometimes we do things and lator regret we have done those things. But many times we have opportunities to do things, and decide not to do those things anyways... so at this point in your life... do you regret more of things you did or opportunities you didn't take?

I really don't regret much that I have done. I acted kind of zany in a friendship once, but I was really young and the feelings I had were very new to me, I do regret that. More than anything I regret the things I haven't done. My life would be completely different right now if I'd made different choices. Oh well, I'm working on making up for it now.

I used to regret all the time however when I was 25 I set a list of ten things I wanted to achieve by the time I was 35. Now I'm 34 I've achieved 6/10 things and three from the other four are all reachable within two years. By doing this (and it was something I set through depression counselling) I realise that I've managed to achieve ambitions by focussing. The four I haven't yet achieved are:

Get married (have been in a relationship for over a year but marriage isn't on the cards)

Complete a masters degree (about half way through one now)

Get a job I enjoy (a full time student now so my options upon graduation are more limited during the world crisis)

Get my weight down (I've certainly added a few pounds since my mid 20s, I'll defer this one for a while!)

While the seven I have achieved are:

    Move to Singapore

    Have a long term/stable relationship

Buy my own home (although sold to fund moving to Asia)

    Complete my undergraduate degree

    Gain teaching experience

Spend more time smiling, laughing and joking than sad (most people see me as joking around most of the time now)

By being realistic there's less to regret.

Have absolutely no regrets for anything i have ever done in my life because I am fairly certain (99.98%) that I haven't hurt other people with decisions I have made.

I do however, regret not doing things. In particular, right now for not making a move toward someone i fancy, but, I think there is still time...just waiting for the right moment and hoping it won't be too late.

I don't really regret anything I did. I only regret things that I had the chane to do, but didn't because I was too scared. I mostly regret not saying certain things to people when i had the chance.
