Filipinos using "Philippino?"?
I've seen some online and on youtube using Philippino, but someone told me that the correct way is Filipino? Or is just a matter of opinion? Does it really matter how you spell it? I'm an Indian born in a Western part of Manila, left when I was one and came to America...I grew up thinking that you were supposed to spell it "philippino" until someone pointed it out a few years ago. That person didn't believe that I was born in Manila, haha.
Since I left Manila when I was one, I don't have much connection or knowledge with Filipino culture. The place that we lived in was filled with Americans.
Thanks, b/c the Filipino guy actually got offended at me spelling it wrong. ;)

Doesn't really matter but the correct way of spelling is "Filipino" some people just use "Philippino" because P.I. starts with "Ph" (Philippines) they're kinda confused or soemthing...but it deosn't matter it's all good....
Tagalog --> Pilipinas - Pilipino
Spanish --> Filipinas - Filipino
English --> Philippines - Filipino
Yeah there are Indians in P.I. I had some neigbors that were Indians when I used to live there.

That usage of the Philippines is an adjective. Philippines - Proper Noun Philippine - Proper Adjective It is Yahoo! Philippines not Yahoo! Philippine. Philippine Islands Republic of the Philippines Do you see the difference now? Hopefully.

Really, IT DOES NOT MATTER. It's your choice how to spell it, there's no right way.
