When should I start planting spring/summer vegetables?

We live in a warmer climate, our last frost is usually mid-april! Any tips, or advice is welcome!!

plant after the last chance of frost has past. sounds like late april in to may is a perfect time for you to plant.

you should start your seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before the last expected frost

I live in Texas, we always plant our garden after Easter, because of a possible late frost. Onions, potatoes and root bearing plants or planted much earlier, say the first of January. Some people go ahead and plant earlier, and take their risk, because they sell produce at the Farmers Market. If they win their bet, they will be the first selling their homegrown tomatoes, and other produce. I personally don't like to plant but only once.

No seed will do anything but rot unless you wait until the danger of frost is over and the soil has warmed up.
