Does anyone know why my avatar and background are blank?
My avatar is blank in answers and my backgrounds in 360 etc, are blank. They have been like this for 3 days.
Thanks you two. I will wait. And Kee. I am glad you can see my 360 background. Now I at least know everyone else can see it. It isn't just my B/G I can't see. I can't see any one else's either.
Thanks again Kee. You really got it going on!!! Jack? Do you know something I don't?

UPDATE: You're welcome. Although it makes a major difference that you can't see anyone else's background. Try any of the following methods:
- Try refreshing a page (refresh or F5).
- Clear your browser's cookies and cache. Before clearing cookies, make sure you know your passwords to sites.
CACHE:
In Internet Explorer, see http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/using/howto/cu...
In Firefox, click the "Clear Cache Now" button under Tools > Options > Privacy > Cache.
In Safari, under the Safari menu is an option to Empty Cache; select this.
COOKIES:
In Firefox, do this under Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies > Clear Cookies Now
In Internet Explorer, do this under Tools > Internet Options > General > Browsing History > Delete > Delete Cookies > Yes
In Safari, select Preferences from the Safari menu and click Security. Click Show Cookies, then click the option to Remove cookies.
Then, restart your computer.
- Right click on any 360 image (blank placeholder or otherwise), make sure the "Block images from ..." is unchecked.
- Check your Internet Explorer settings. Go to Tool, Internet Options, click the advanced tab and under Multimedia make sure "Show Pictures" is checked.
- Make sure that your current browser is updated to the latest version for your system.
- Switch to a different browser. If you are using Internet Explorer, use Mozilla Firefox (http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/ ) and vice versa.
- Click your Start menu, go to All Programs, click on Windows Update to make sure that your computer has been fully updated.
- Make sure that you have the latest Flash player installed for your browser. See http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ . Flash is what enables you to view Yahoo! avatars and videos. You can also download the Shockwave plug-in. See http://get.adobe.com/shockwave/ . Just make sure everything is update because you never know what can cause conflicts.
- See this web page:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/283807
- Run a scan of your computer with your virus scanner.

Your 360 background looks fine to me. I see a tiled image of two purple flowers. Perhaps you are having trouble with your computer system. Try clearing your browser's cache and cookies. Also, try using a different browser.
As for your 360 image picture in Yahoo! Answers:
OFTEN it takes minutes, hours, days, or weeks for the system to catch up to changes made through Yahoo! 360. So, in the meantime, you will be without any picture on Y/A (a gray unisex icon), words/red "x" in box will show, or an old 360 image will appear. Just go through the process and let your picture stay that way until the Y/A system makes your correct 360 image appear. If you would prefer not to wait, then use a Yahoo! Avatar (http://avatars.yahoo.com/ ) and forget about using the 360 image (at least for now).
Otherwise after a few days of waiting, you can certainly contact Y/A staff by posting a BUG report on the Y/A forum at http://suggestions.yahoo.com/?prop=answers . I recommend putting BUG: to start the title of your message. Also, you can do a search on the forum and add a comment to messages other people have posted about the problem. This problem can only be resolved system-wide (temporarily or permanently) by Yahoo staff.

Over the past week or so this yahoo 360 avatar question has been posted scores of times with various remedies suggested to fix the problem but none have worked so far. This is a yahoo problem there is nothing you can do to fix it.
The fact is until yahoo gets around to fix this problem your only alternatives are to wait for the fix or use your yahoo avatar.
Note: this glitch has accured before (5/6 months ago) and it took almost 2 weeks before the 360 avatars showed.
