Good contemporary Christian songs?
I'm just looking for some good Christian music to listen to.
It doesn't necessarily have to be contemporary, i like it all.
Songs or artists, whatever you can think of.
:)
Thank you!
God bless!!

It really depends on what style of music you like. Here's mine:
1 Talk About It - Nicole C. Mullen
2 We - Joy Williams
3 Hope Now - Addison Road
4 One Step At A Time - Jordin Sparks
5 Burn for You - Toby Mac
6 Brave - Nichole Nordeman
7 Made to Love - Toby Mac
8 The One Thing - Paul Colman
9 Redeemer - Nicole C. Mullen
10 Let's Go - Mark Shultz
I listen to them online where I can write down the names of songs and the artists since I am bad at remembering names. Then I buy the MP3's and those are the recent ones in the order I like them with one being the BEST.
The ones I haven't bought yet but plan to are:
Keys to the Kingdom by Group 1 Crew
Free to be Me by Francesca Battistelli
Hard to Believe by Vota
How You Live (Turn up the Music) by Point of Grace
The groups I love, but who don't have hits out lately (that I know of) are Barlow Girl, Rebecca St James, and Jars of Clay.

Lost and Found. Some cities have a Christian rock station. Real rock, not something like KLove that has "praise and worship" type songs that repeat the same five lines for about five minutes. I do not like that stuff, as it's seems redundant and boring. There used to be a network of Christian rock stations by the name of Radio 1, though I'm not sure if they are still around. Try searching it. Also, try searching "Christian rock".
Collective Soul is a great group as well. While they aren't Christian directly, they have a great spirtualness to them. Crash Test Dummies also has some good spiritual music as well. It was the song "God Shuffled His Feet" on the album by the same name that got me thinking that maybe the Adam and Eve story isn't as black and white as what it is in the Bible.

Try KLOVE.com and see if they have a station in your area. Or just listen to them on your computer. They focus on contemporary Christian music and they play music instead of taking up a lot of time with radio evangelism.
but my personal favorties are, Third Day, Brandon Heath, Todd Agnew, Casting Crowns, and Mercy Me.

Third Day. They have a channel on YouTube. They Christians, and they're a real rock band, not some slick production out of Nashville or Southern California.

Sorry for your grandpa, hope it'll all be fine. For the songs.. I don't know any much about songs of death but how about "My redeemer lives" from Nicole C. Mullen and "Shackles" from Mary Mary and "Days of Elijah" (one of my favorite songs I sing at chuch)? Sorry these are not the best songs.. I'll try to pray for you though. :)
