Which climate scientists think the planet isn't warming or humans aren't causing it?
There seems to be a disconnect between layman "skeptics" and scientist "skeptics". Laymen skeptics tend to try and argue that the planet isn't warming or humans aren't causing the warming.
It doesn't seem like skeptical climate scientists think this, however. John Christy, for example, agrees that the planet is warming and humans are primarily responsible, but thinks the consequences won't be as bad as most climate scientists think. Richard Lindzen seems to have similar opinions, although he has made the amateurish "global warming has stopped" argument. Roy Spencer I'm not sure about.
Note that when it comes to climate science I don't care about the opinions of economists, dentists, biologists, TV weathermen, etc. I'm talking about scientists with expertise in a field relevant to climate science, preferably who actively researches the subject (like John Christy).
So, which climate scientists think the planet isn't warming or humans aren't causing it?
regarding Christy see my last question. Unless he lied under oath.
"Plaintiffs’ own expert, Dr. Christy, agrees with the IPCC’s assessment that in the light of new evidence and taking into account remaining uncertainties, most of the observed warming over the last fifty years is likely to have been due to the increase in GHG concentrations. Tr. vol. 14-A, 145:18-148:7 (Christy, May 4, 2007). Christy agrees that the increase in carbon dioxide is real and primarily due to the burning of fossil fuels"

These seem to be the only two denier climate scientists, gray will not likely be with us much longer, ball with have to carry the entire denial movement on his shoulders.
This is not much competition, you have to wonder if Ball has monetary reasons for his position as the worlds only denier climate scientist.

you be responsive to Dana, if any functional guy or woman went to their well-being practitioner and the well-being practitioner suggested "i'm sorry yet i think of you're growing to be to be maximum cancers, if we act now we are able to handle it" it would be a fool who might forget approximately their well-being practitioner or attempt to sweep aside the well-being practitioner's professional opinion. properly, the scientists are telling us the planet has maximum cancers and that we could behave now until now it gets worse. Too many all people is ignoring them. You are misquoting Christy, he states there has been warming and humans have had some contribution.
The planet has warmed slightly, as it recovered from the Little Ice Age. The 0.7 degree temperature rise only begins to balance out with the 1.0 C degree dip from the LIA. We still have 0.3 C to go before we get back to normal temperatures.
"Similar studies of a coral which exhibits yearly growth bands again yielded isotope data suggesting that average mean water temperatures during the Little Ice Age did indeed decrease by about 1ºC (Druffel 1982)."
As far as that survey of the 3,146 scientists who believe the Earth has warmed and humans are the main contributors, they contacted over 10,200 scientists and roughly 70% of the scientists questioned did not want to submit the survey. Why? One can only guess but probably because they do not want to make a decision in the wrong direction and have their careers ruined.
Climatology is a field that was invented to discount the overwhelming amount of Geologists and Meteorologists that would not go along with the global warming scare. Geologists are definitely just as qualified to speak on climate, they study the entire processes of the Earth.
"Geology is the study of the Earth, the materials of which it is made, the structure of those materials, and the processes (including climate) acting upon them. It includes the study of organisms that have inhabited our planet. An important part of geology is the study of how Earth’s materials, structures, processes and organisms have changed over time."
Ball is not a Geographer, he is a Climatologist. The whole Geography thing is a rumor started by alarmists to try to discredit this skeptical Climatologist.
This is what the alarmists do, because the whole AGW theory is weak.

That's a well worded question.
I will use editorial license in answering and I'll 'assume' (apologies If my assumption is incorrect) that you are in effect asking ''Which scientists, who have an expertise in a field relevant to Climate science, preferably who actively research the subject don't believe in AGW or hold a dim view of AGW''
or, in layman's terms, ''Name me some Climate Skeptics, who are qualified to give a Professional view on the matter'' ;)
well............
Richard Lindzen , Fred Singer , Willie Soon , Roy Spencer , Jan Veizer , Robert Carter , Henk Tennekes , David Douglas , William Kininmonth , David Legates , Sallie Baliunas , Henrik Svensmark , William Cotton , Roger Pielke Snr and Jnr , Petr Chylek , Tasd Murty , Tim Patterson.
to name but a few.

I do not know where you are getting the idea that Christy, Spencer, and Lindzen think that humans are primarily responsible for the rise in temperatures during the last three decades. They all agree that adding greenhouse gases will cause the earth to warm up. Where they disagree is with the hypothesis that the earth's atmosphere is dominated by positive feedbacks which will cause catastrophic warming.
The addition of greenhouse gases (without any feedbacks), is not enough to account for the late 20th century warming. So if there are no positive feedbacks, then natural variation has to have played a role in this warming. Which is something they all maintain.
Edit: Given Christy's paper on negative climate feedbacks, I find it hard to see how the judge come to this conclusion.
You can even listen to a speech of his given October 4th, 2007 and determine what his stance on global warming is. If anything he has become more of a climate skeptic.

As for Tim Ball not being a climatologist, that is nothing more than smear tactics.

Over 650 scientist claim that Man made global warming is false:
http://www.infowars.net/articles/december2008/1012...
In fact it's been claimed that planet has actually been cooling since 1998.
Some quotes from the site:
“I am a skeptic…Global warming has become a new religion.” - Nobel Prize Winner for Physics, Ivar Giaever.
“Since I am no longer affiliated with any organization nor receiving any funding, I can speak quite frankly….As a scientist I remain skeptical.” - Atmospheric Scientist Dr. Joanne Simpson, the first woman in the world to receive a PhD in meteorology and formerly of NASA who has authored more than 190 studies and has been called “among the most preeminent scientists of the last 100 years.”
Warming fears are the “worst scientific scandal in the history…When people come to know what the truth is, they will feel deceived by science and scientists.” - UN IPCC Japanese Scientist Dr. Kiminori Itoh, an award-winning PhD environmental physical chemist.
“The IPCC has actually become a closed circuit; it doesn’t listen to others. It doesnt have open minds… I am really amazed that the Nobel Peace Prize has been given on scientifically incorrect conclusions by people who are not geologists,” - Indian geologist Dr. Arun D. Ahluwalia at Punjab University and a board member of the UN-supported International Year of the Planet.
“The models and forecasts of the UN IPCC "are incorrect because they only are based on mathematical models and presented results at scenarios that do not include, for example, solar activity.” - Victor Manuel Velasco Herrera, a researcher at the Institute of Geophysics of the National Autonomous University of Mexico

I was never great at math's, but even I can work out that 3,146 is higher than 650!

I don't know which scientists do believe that as there is quite a fair few around the world although there numbers must be dwindling as the evidents mount up.

Well there is that failed mushroom researcher guy. Does he count? He also thinks that Einstein should have written E = mc instead of E=mc^2.
- BBLv 71 decade ago
Actually, even those climate scientists who 'think' that there is such a thing as AGW/ACC, have been deceived into trusting that the data upon which "Man-did-it" global warming is based, is legit. Of course, we know that it is not.
Hansen & Co. have gotten themselves so deep into the AGW belief, that their careers would be trashed if they admitted to the false data (and their additional manipulation of it).
To conclude, your question holds absolutely no merit, as the many well-meaning climate scientists have themselves.... been duped by 'non-scientists' like Hansen.
