what does the beach sound like?

any or all of:

the sound of children giggling as they build sand castles;

the screech of seagulls fighting over a scrap of bread;

the constant roar of water in motion;

the distant sound of boats' engines

It laps quietly at the edge of the beach as the water meets the sand. Moving ever so slightly, it makes a faint sound akin to a dog drinking from a bowl.
