What should I do with an old car seat and stroller?

My car seat and stroller are nearing their expiration dates. But I feel a twinge when I think of throwing them away. Is there anything I can do with them that is not as wasteful? Both of my kids have used the seat and stroller, so they have some wear, though they are still working.

BTW I am in Canada, where car seats/strollers are supposed to expire after ten years (at least, that's what I was told in the hospital with both my kids).

Thanks!

    Donate them.

    Sell them on Ebay?

But donating would probably be your best bet to do. Since it would be helping other people out that need them!

Donate them to Freecycle or dump them off into those donation boxes you find at shopping plaza parking lots. You could also put an ad in craigslist for any takers.

Or you can just store them in your garage and maybe come up with an idea for using them in an art installation, lol.

Give them away to someone who could use it, if you know anyone having a baby, you could ask, I don't mind gently used things, & if you don't know anyone take it to a second hand store, I know how you feel, it's hard for me to throw things away like that :)

I think you should just throw it away. You may feel guilty doing that, but what else can you do? Just toss them.
