I Need Help With Math! Somebody Help?

Okay. The question is:

Find all real solutions of the equation x^2-343=0. You're supposed to come up with two numbers that equal x. I don't get it. If you could, just put what you did in your answer too so I know what to do next time. Thanks.

    x² - 343 = 0

    x² = 343

    x = +/- 18.520259

    Answer: x = +/- 18.520259

    x^2-343=0

    x^2-343+343=0+343

    x^2=343

    sq rt 343=18.52

    x^2=343

    x=square root of 343 and negative square root of 343, because when you square a negative, it becomes positive

    x^2 =343

    343 = 7 (7^2)

    x1= 7 sqrt(7)

    x2 = -7 sqrt(7)
