are all perkins engines diesel?

did perkins make a petrol motor too. i am looking at a commer motor home to purchase and the seller says it has a perkins petrol engine - i thought all perkins were diesel. we are looking at 1965 vintage.

    Perkins, is a subsidiary of the Caterpillar Company and make mostly diesel engines for industrial power plants and marine applications.

    They did however make a gasoline engine.and prior to 1978 the family type code AF and the engine reference number is G4.40 series. Most of they're engines are for the European markets.

    perkins did make a petrol engine but it would be reasonably old now,although it would be a better engine then an original commer engine.

    Yes, some Perkins engines are gasoline. Did it have spark plugs?
