Miele W918 Washing Machine Problem!! Help Please!!?

I have a pretty old washing machine, a miele w918. When I try to get the water to go into it, it doesn't take in enough water and then a red light turns on in the shape of a tap.

Please help!

    Remove the hoses from the washing machine and check water flow.There are screens in the hoses and or the washing machine. Check to see if the screens are clogged.
