When will the world see the light, truth, and holiness of the Catholic Church?
From among His disciples Our Lord chose twelve Apostles, and gave them special training. He sent them forth to teach His doctrines, saying, "As the Father has sent me, I also send you." The Apostles were the foundation of the True Church. Christ gave them all power and authority, saying, "He who hears you hears me: he who rejects you rejects me."
All history, religious and non-religious, including the Bible, clearly proves that Jesus Christ founded a Church.
After teaching publicly what He required all to believe and practice, thereby announcing the main doctrines of His Church, Christ gathered a number of disciples. From them He chose twelve, to whom He gave special instruction and training.
The term "a kingdom", by which Our Lord used to refer to His Church, implies organized authority. And He said to the special men He had chosen, "You have not chosen me, but I have chosen you" (John 15:16). He did not teach the disciples for themselves alone, but to be the foundation of His Church. God did not come to save only a few disciples, but all men.
Christ said to the men He had chosen: "As the Father has sent me, I also send you" (John 20:21), bidding them go and preach the doctrines He had taught. He sent them to all nations, promising salvation to those that should believe, and threatening condemnation to those refusing to believe.
"He who believes and is baptized shall be saved, but he who does not believe shall be condemned" (Mark 16:16). God is just; He would not have threatened condemnation to unbelievers unless He had furnished the means whereby they could believe. His Church is this means; all men must join it.
Not only did the men chosen by Christ have authority; He gave them extraoidinary powers, particularly the twelve special men, the Apostles.
"Then having summoned his twelve disciples, he gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to cure every kind of disease and infirmity" (Matt. 10:1).
They had power to sanctify, when Christ bade them:
"Go therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit" (Matt. 28:19).
They had power to forgive sin, when Christ said to them:
"Whose sins you shall forgive, they are forgiven them" (John 20:23).
They had power to rule when Christ said:
"He who hears you hears me; and he who rejects you rejects me; and he who rejects me rejects him who sent me" (Luke 10:16). And: "Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound also in heaven" (Matt. 18:18).
They had power to offer sacrifice, when at the Last Supper Christ, after instituting the Eucharist, bade them:
"Do this in remembrance of me" (1 Cor. 11:24-25).
After training the disciples and Apostles to form the organization of His Church, Christ chose Simon Peter, and made him the Chief. Simon, whose name Christ changed to Peter, was the Head of the Church.
On Simon Christ promised to build His Church, saying: "Thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my Church" (Matt. 16:18). After the Resurrection He confirmed Peter's authority over the Church, saying to him: "Feed my lambs; feed my sheep" (John 21:15-17).
Finally, He promised to remain for all time with the Church He established.
If the death of Our Lord were to do good only to a few persons then living in Judea, its merits would have been very limited. But it could do good to future generations only if there were an organization with authority to carry on His teachings and preserve them from all change. This is His Church ... the Catholic Church.

People will, when they find out what Catholicism really is about.
“Few people in America hate the Catholic religion,
but there are many who hate
what they mistakenly believe is the Catholic religion
—and if what they hate really were the Catholic religion,
Catholics would hate it too.”
Bishop Fulton Sheen
I agree with you... the Catholic Church is the one Christ established.
We should pray for unity and peace, that everyone will stop discriminating and bashing each other, and seeks the truth instead. And we should pray that the find the truth and light in the Catholic Church.

1. The Catholic Church neither condones nor publishes nor uses child pornography. If you area talking about the Kansas priest who had child pornography, that's one guy, not the whole Church. And even if there were 100 guys or 1000 guys or 10000 guys, it still wouldn't be the whole Church. 2. The Catholic Church does not teach ANYTHING that is incompatible with Scripture. 3. Priestly celibacy is recommended in 1 Corinthians 7. 4. Yes, Peter was married, as are some Catholic priests. So? Paul wasn't married as are most other priests. Big whoop. Celibacy is still recommended for priests in Scripture and the normal state for Catholic priests in the Roman rite. 5. Celibacy is a gift indeed! And if a priest isn't married, then it fits your idea that celibacy should only apply when you're not married. 6. Many priests did want to marry and have children, but they willingly and freely sacrificed that desire in order to serve Christ. The Lord honors them for that sacrifice. Why don't you?

See what happens when you mention the word "Catholic"? All hell breaks loose. You may as well be waving a red flag at a bull! Even with Scripture, they deny it. Anyway, to answer your question. The unification of all Christian Churches in the One Catholic Church. The Great Famine of the 21st Century will end upon the beginning of the restructuring of the Catholic Church for unification. Nothing whatsoever will cause the Great Famine to end until Christians repent and convert and unite in the One Holy Catholic Church.
EDIT....This is what makes it very hard to love all Christians. Those persecuting the Church deserve to go to hell, but Christ wants to save them and we Catholics are expected to pray for their conversion. Check out the "Beatitudes".

Well all I can say is pray for unity, for the unification of all Christian Denominations to our Mother the Church on Earth. Pray the Rosary God hears our prayers and it is the best weapon, and the best form of conversion, the easiest way to get Christ into the hearts of the many.
Love,
Kate

I was brought up as a RC. Went to Catholic school all the way through High School. My biggest question was why was I never told to pick up a Bible and read it? I found the answers when I was in my 40's, the RC church does not want any of it's members to find out that is laced with idolatry, false teachings and hypocrisy.
Are all Catholics Christian? NO some may well be but they are few and far apart. All all Christians saved? NO some are and some are not.
The bottom line is your walk with Jesus. To be a Christian is not belonging to an organized religion it's have a personal relationship with our Savior Jesus Christ!

Amen sister, they have persecuted me so they will persecute you.
it's written that God will blind them to the truth because they refuse to look for it.
They refuse and from what I've read it's safe to say they are blind with mis quotes wrong information and down right lies.
They can not back anything they say up, not with scripture are documents handed down.
So Sister there's only one thing to do and that's pray for them.
God bless.

I have to ask this: but why is it so bloody important for any religious group to want to take over the world.
Why can you not let everyone be. It isn't written ANYWHERE that any one religion is right or wrong. Can you not see that over half the problems with the planet are from religious fighting. Do you not understand the implications of demanding that others bow to your god.
Why is your god/religion the ONLY way. If your beliefs can not live in harmony with others then I NEVER want anything to do with them and the attitude of your and yours.
This is a huge and diverse planet and if we can't learn to at least pretend to get along then what hope do we have for the future?

Sadly, I would say you are severely mislead by religion. YOUR religion of Catholicism. Jesus is THE "true" church and he stated this when he told the Jews to destroy the temple and he would rebuild it in "3" days. The faith of our Lord in heaven is built upon him and the doctrines he taught. I used to be a Catholic and used to always here this egotistical remark from many within the church which you state "of" the Catholic church being the "true" church which Jesus started, BUT he himself started "no" church of which he stated could be destroyed by man and "implied" that no man could destroy HIM, of which his disciples could rely on to last FOREVER. Jesus IS the CHURCH or TEMPLE for upon him is the basis for our salvation, not BUILDINGS or RELIGIONS made by MAN.
Even if I overlooked all Jesus taught and agreed with you as to your church being the one true church, look at history and tell me if Jesus would needlessly "slaughter" close to 200 milliion innocent persons ever since Roman Catholicism was founded ?? History of the Catholic dynasty proves only one thing even to the present by all the "failures" of it's clergy. That MAN can not create a PERFECT church as the Lord created in his SON...............

You are seriously brainwashed if you really believe these things. The RCC was founded by the Emperor Constantine in the 300's not by the Apostles of Christ. It has adopted so much paganism that it is virtually unrecognizable as a Bible believing organization.
