Black dress, black tights, red shoes?

Question

I have little to no fashion sense. I have a cute black dress made of t-shirt material, it's about knee length or just above, with ruched cap sleeves (ruched? gathered?). I also have a pair of really adorable red (like between candy apple red and burgundy) mary janes with chunky heels. I'd like to wear both to work, but I think it looks kinda odd without any tights or hose or anything. (By the way, my job is pretty casual, usually I wear a polo shirt and jeans, so it shouldn't be an issue there). I thought of wearing the two things with black tights, since it's supposedly trendy or whatever, but I'm not sure if that's the right way to put it together. Thoughts?

It sounds good with the black tights- just make sure they're the thin type rather than the cotton type. And how about a thin red or white belt to give the dress a bit more shape? Try:

You could wear the black dress with black leggings without feet and push them to right below your knee's but instead of the red chunky heels you should get red ballet flats it would look so cute together=)

I'd go with the black shoes instead, I feel like the red shoes would look too matchy matchy but in an awkward way since the black broke them up. But then again I can't see the outfit so maybe it looks cute but I'd go black.

u can also try to find a red belt to wear over the dress or red accessories to go with it
