Is it time to reinvigorate cooperatives in our local communities?

Given that the current financial and corporate structure has prov en to be dysfunctional, should we not start looking at alternatives such as cooperatives, syndicates and similar local organizations that we, the people, can control?

Would you be willing to participate if there where a local food coop or even bank with a local savings and loan instead of a large, multinational bank?

Try a Credit Union in place of your bank. Credit Unions are NOT FOR PROFIT organizations, while banks are only in business to make a profit.

And if you like the idea of a "food coop", try shopping a your local farmers market. They grow the crops and sell them too.

Or maybe you could just move up here to Seattle, it's the left coast after all.
