When will someone make a movie based on the Chronicles of Amber?
With the current technology out there I think this would be one of the better applications of Science Fiction in movie form.
3 AnswersMovies1 decade agoIs it time to reinvigorate cooperatives in our local communities?
Given that the current financial and corporate structure has prov en to be dysfunctional, should we not start looking at alternatives such as cooperatives, syndicates and similar local organizations that we, the people, can control?
Would you be willing to participate if there where a local food coop or even bank with a local savings and loan instead of a large, multinational bank?
1 AnswerOther - Politics & Government1 decade agoWhy do so many Republicans assume Democrats have a blind loyalty to their party?
There is a constant barrage of inane questions here about an assumed blind faith in the Democratic party.
They should realize that the reason the party appears so chaotic is because there is constant debate, discussion and conflict internally.
Just because the Republicans follow der Fuhrer with a koolaide gleam in their eyes they should not assume the same of others.

Some times coming on to this sight is like walking through a pasture. You have to watch where you go or you may step into a pile.

Which one is the rotten commie and which is the righteous patriotic American?
Feb. 15 (Bloomberg) -- Republican Senator Lindsey Graham, who sits on the Senate Budget Committee, said he wouldn’t reject the idea of nationalizing U.S. banks.
Democratic Senator Charles Schumer, speaking on the same program, said he isn’t in favor of nationalization for banks.
“I think government is not good at making these decisions as to who gets loans and how this happens,” the New York senator said.
5 AnswersOther - Politics & Government1 decade agoIs there a viable, quick "stimulus" plan for the economy?
I hear so much bashing back and forth about any actions taken to attempt to stabilize the economy, but haven't heard a reasonable, realistic approach as of yet.
As far as I'm concerned there is no quick fix, magic pill or other miracle cure here, yet so much negativity about what measures are being put into place.
To those of you with so much negativity, tell me what YOU are doing to help get things right.

4 AnswersPersonal Finance1 decade agoDid the republicans throw this election?
I mean, they put a guy up who probably wouldn't make the first 4. They put a VP in who no one in their right mind would want to take the oval office.
They force ol' John to stray from his strengths and try to force him into the mold.
If they let the Democrats take on this nearly impossible task of cleaning things up in 4 years they stand a much better chance of getting the next 8 with more distance from W. We do have short memories after all

7 AnswersElections1 decade agoAre there more emotionly damaged, co-dependant people in the republican party than the democratic?
I was listening to the news this morning and a woman was expressing her fear of the changes that would occur if Obama is elected. I couldn't help but think of abused women I have known who always ran back to their abuser. Are there really that many people who want four more years of cheating, lying and the other abuses we have had to put up with?
