Are there more emotionly damaged, co-dependant people in the republican party than the democratic?

I was listening to the news this morning and a woman was expressing her fear of the changes that would occur if Obama is elected. I couldn't help but think of abused women I have known who always ran back to their abuser. Are there really that many people who want four more years of cheating, lying and the other abuses we have had to put up with?

Being a woman that has been in a mentally abusive relationship but got out. I can tell you when you're on the inside of the relationship it's sometimes hard to see the abuse particularly when it's mental abuse. Physical there are bruises and broken bones but when someone is messing with your mind you can't see it so you might be on to something. Once you make the break it takes a while to recover but then I have found that I examine things more deeply before I form a relationship.

BTW not only am I voting for Obama but I've been campaigning for him and Biden too.

Joe, thank you to your clever question. I disagree evidently along with your premise, because i could like that the two events pass to the left. i'm Liberal, and frequently vote Democrat. I agreed with lots of Ron Paul's "Republican" positions in 2008. of direction voters vote on values, yet different aspects come into it, even custom. in case your loved ones has constantly voted Republican, no longer vote casting Republican would seem very almost like changing church homes. i think of that the Republican social gathering is locked now in a conflict between the stunning wing and the moderates, and specific won't bend lots from that place interior the close to destiny. The Democrats would seem a lot left to you, yet its very complicated for me to comprehend the unusual centrist place they have completely assumed. i like the assumption of breaking faraway from those events lots extra advantageous: possibly the Libertarians ought to %. up voters if the Republican social gathering schisms, then if a actual ingenious social gathering emerges on the left, the Libertarians could have a guess to %. up some Liberals right here and there, and for a on an identical time as a minimum of, there must be 3 or 4 events, with possibly, one or the two between the previous events going extinct. the significant element with 0.33 events is they start to %. up adequate seats to alter right into a actual probability to the optimum events. in basic terms then they'd %. up investment and create a conflict chest to seize the presidency.

Seriously! I believe that many republicans, democrats and independents and innocent Iraqi citizens suffer from PTSD from the last 8 years of neo-conservatism. Think about it! How many families lost loved ones on 9/11 - our soldies and the innocent people in Iraq? How many people were force fed "fear-factor red" kool-aid by the neo cons? This certainly is an emotionally damaged country we live in. McCain is part of the neo con oligarch and he will keep up 4 to 8 more years of neo-conservative policy. Many well-known, well-respected republicans have had enough of this garbage and they endorsed Obama. Obama is going to work across the table to create the best of the best team in order to try to put America and her people and the US Constitution back on track.

I do find that republicans tend to look for someone other than themselves to 'blame' for their problems. They also seem reluctant to accept responsibility for society and it's weakest members.

For instance, I've seen so many toothless, lazy rednecks complain about the 'blacks, the illegal aliens, the gays, the feminists, the liberals, the activist judges, the public schools, the what ever .........

to explain why their own lives are miserable.

I get the feeling it's easier to blame than become educated and improve your own life.

I think you are confusing the parties with issues. If you will look at the economy and the status it is in, this started before our current republican came into office. Gas hit an all time high under Pres. Jimmy Carter (D). It has been a non stop s*** slide sense then. So don't say "well we have had time to turn it around" because if you say that you have to include Billy Bob Clinton and after all he "did not inhale".

Source(s): I have lived through all of these presidents.

Republicans are the party that want smaller government and more freedoms to run your own life. Democrats think the average Joe is too stupid to spend his own money, so they love to tax at high rates and then create programs that keep people dependent on these stupid programs for generation after generation.

Perceptually, you might be correct, but you would not be dealing with reality.

Reality is that if Obama loses, there will be riots caused by his supporters. If McCain loses, there will probably still be riots from Obama supporters.

Think about it, you know I'm right.
