How do you prevent getting a virus on a netbook ?
There is'nt a cd/dvd drive so you can not load in anti-virus software. Is there a website you can download something for it ?

You do not say what OS you are running. If it is Linux then the threat of viruses is somewhat less, but you can still download virus protect - google virus protection for Linux.. If it is XP thyen download AVG, Avast Avira or Comodo from their respective websites. All are free and good.

you'll need a thumb drive. you can load the AV on that off of the cd drive on another PC and plug it in to the USB Then download to the netbook. Sure there are places you can download some kind of AV program, do a search

If you're running Linux then you probably don't even have to worry about it because I doubt there are many viruses that target Linux.
