Are there laws for "rescuing"/"snatching" a puppy mill puppy from an unlicensed pet store?
There is a Pet Store that is in a rundown/shady area, most likely unlicensed, possibly a "front" for selling drugs, the owners are scruffy run down guys-who don't know much at all about the dogs, the dogs are in feces in stacked wire cages, 1 owner uses a "whip"/stick to hit the cage when the dogs misbehave or bark too much (they mostly bark the ENTIRE time-so loud you can hear outside on the street) The place & people are VERY suspicious.
**If you "rescue" or "snatch" a puppy from a place (that could be proved to be unlicensed as an animal retailer and/or selling puppies in inappropriate conditions and/or from puppy mills...
*Would it be a crime or a good Samaritan act?

It would be theft, you'd be charged with a crime. Even mistreated puppies are expensive at pet stores so there's a good chance it would be a felony. The law doesn't care if the puppy was in poor conditions, there are legal and more effective ways to 'save' animals in that situation. Call animal control about the mistreatment of the animals, and the police about the possible drug sales.
Personally I think its a crime. Whats the point in stealing one puppy? They'll just get more so you're really not doing any good in the long, even if you could steal all of them they'd still be in business.

A crime. A good samaritan act would be to call the police and file a complaint against them for animal abuse.

Your action would be theft of the dog. Your better action is to call the county health dept. and Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and report what you know and think. Then they can investigate the pet store and pursue legal actions.

It would be a crime. If you're worried about the animals, the proper thing to do is to notify animal control, the humane society, and the police. You might also consider contacting the state attorney general.

detrimental infants, they bumped off the different sign hoping no one can ask the place they get their doggies from....they dance around the fact and say from close by breeders,,,as puppy Land, would not purchase from close by breeders, their company place of work has breeders and the doggies are shipped to them....and not by using close by breeders the two... official::those no longer offered are marked all the way down to an extremely low priced, then if no longer offered, the keep writes if off as a loss, and the dogs is going to a shelter..it rather is regularly occurring fact for those in Texas.

It would be theft. Call the ASPCA and report it, they have the legal authority to investigate and rescue the puppies.
