Do you think this is fair?

If Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony are text-ing to keep a contestant in the running for American Idol, and I know that it is their prerogative, but they have the $$ to keep someone in there who the judges felt that person did not do a great job is that unfair to the other contestants? Should celebrities not be able to text to American Idol? Also, should there be a cap on how many times you get to vote?

Why should celebrities be blocked? Just because they are celebrities? Who even gets to decide the definition of "celebrity?" Does your local TV weather guy count? Or do you just want to block those two specific celebrities because you don't like what they are doing?

As for a cap, American Idol will never do that, because if they did it would truly show how few people are actually voting...

I think you should only be able to vote once. That is definitely unfair for a celebrity to bribe or pay to get someone through! I hope they have never done that because that would just completely ruin the show forever!

I don't think so.... get AT&T for your phone service... it's free for att users... Anyway, if someone is rich enough they could have multiple phones/lines and vote that way... wouldn't stop them!!!!

that does sound unfair, but people with a lot of money uually get theie way one way or another!
