gallbladder question--My sister had her gallbladder taken out 5 days ago but her symptoms are still there.?
She eats a low fat diet and still has pain she describes as a fist being tightened in her chest. She also is occasionally sick to her stomach. Is this normal? Can she take Protonix? Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanx

It is the gas. The gas is terrible. They use it to remove the gallbladder with smaller incisions (laproscopically). It seriously makes your shoulder and chest hurt on the right hand side. The nausea is normal too and she should get some anti-nausea meds. I was nauseated as well coupled with being pregnant. My shoulder and chest I try to keep calm and mobile. Moving around helps discharge the gas from the body according to my own experience and my RN's who just had hers done as well. If anything call the surgeon back and get some advice but I think it is just the gas they use. Stuff is painful! Get her up and walking. Tylenol and a hot shower as well will help!
