both are really "cute", safe, cheap to insure. They're old enough to be affordable, but not too old to be ugly and unreliable.

A VW New Beetle is also a great choice, but look for a 2005 and Up. Before that, they had a few electrical problems.

Your question is really too vague to answer. It would depend entirely on what your definition of "cute" would be. But the answer really depends on the amount of money you have saved to spend on this car. If you don't plan to spend your own money but instead rely on someone else to pay, you will take what they get and can not dictate it has to be nice, sporty, and almost new. At at 16 it may be yours to drive, but to get insurance at a decent rate it will be a parent's car with you named as a driver. That's as actual as it gets. And by the way, average price on a two year old vehicle that meets your specifications will be around $30,000. Good luck with that.
