Who do people tell others they should be grateful?
How on Earth can you make yourself grateful if you just aren't?
People keep telling me to be grateful for my miserable, appallingly paid, monkey job and it's driving me nuts.
I'm not grateful, sorry, I can't help that, but I'm just not.
I appreciate that there are a lot of unemployed people out there, but that just doesn't make me feel grateful for being miserable everyday and wanted to be ill rather than go to work.
Before you say it, the reason I don't just quit is because then my dad would feel obliged to pay my mortgage for me and that's just not fair on him.
Wow, first one comes out with exactly what I was talking about.
The question was actually supposed to read "Why do people tell others they should be grateful?" rather than Who, not sure what happened there, dyslexia got the better of me

I understand what you say but not about job
plus other people's misery doesn't mean you should be happy
so I even more agree with you :)

If you can't appreciate your job (I get that), find something else that is important to appreciate such as family, friends, hobbies. Don't offer negative comments/details about your hell-job to others. Complaining about a bad situation often rubs the bruise even more raw.
In the mean time, it may be time to decide how to start planning an escape from your current job and finding one that is ideal for you.
