Odd question.. Anyone else have/had pierced nipples?

I've noticed lately that I have stains in my bra from minor leaking, which I know is normal in pregnancy.

I breastfed my last child so I know how milk and breastfeeding works and I know that most women who have had pierced nipples can nurse with no problem.

But as I was getting out of a warm shower last night, I looked down and noticed some little beads of milk coming out of my nipples and there was a bead of milk coming directly out the side of my nipple out my piercing hole.

I know it's milk and not puss, it was totally healed a long time ago, I have no signs of infection. I haven't had a ring in there for a good 7-8 months.

But I was just wondering, did the piercing create a new hole for the milk to come out of? I thought that each little hole the milk comes out of was attached to a milk duct? Has anyone else experienced this?

I know it sounds a little goofy, I'm not worried, just really curious if this has happened to others?

I had my nipples pierced and had them out while I was in my first month of pregnancy. And yes, I would have milk coming out of the side. And usually it'd be a lot!

No. It's possible you just have small or not very long nipples. You could always wait awhile (like 6 months to a year) and then take the nipple ring out until it heals, then get it done again. Your nipples do tend to get bigger or longer each time you get them pierced. But gees, how could you pierce them twice? That was the biggest pain I've ever had in my entire life. That piercing was just bad! I've had them in now for 4 years.

When you get your nipples peirced, then, yes, milk will go out of that hole because, think about it, when you put a needle through there, don't you think that it will cause some damage to the milk ducts?

Yes, they are just more holes for milk to come out of..when you breast feed it tends to sqirt..just fyi lol...
