I'm 17 and not religious so i don't have a problem with myself being gay from that perspective...i want kids and a family...and sometimes i think maybe i could just pretend to be straight my whole life so i can get that chance more easily and with less scrutiny to have a family...altho i feel that wouldn't be fair on the girl if i was gay and didn't love her with all my potential...

Well feeling as if being born in the "wrong body" and wanting a sex change would classify the person as transgendered, not gay...there is a HUGE difference! Also, the Bible mentions eating shellfish as bad, but I'm sure you know some "good ole" Christians that like to go eat a bunch of shrimp, crab, and lobster (maybe even right after church), but you don't hear about that being bad do you? Nope, because that part doesn't work for many Christians. Also, perhaps your feelings weren't as strong as you believe they were because being able to get over them as it seems you've done (or tried to make yourself believe) is not really possible for the majority of transgendered people...and when speaking about sexuality it's not really possible for gay people either.

I tried to change because I've been raised a Christian and always been told being gay is wrong. Then one day I realized I was lying to everyone. That's a sin. Isn't it? I'd rather be true to myself. And I am still a Christian. I don't believe the Bible bans homosexuality as it is known today. But yeah.

what the ***** does the bible have to do with you being gay? i hate people that mix religion and sexuality, stop being ignorant.

And if you went against what you were feeling, then sucks to be you, and no you don't have to "With stand" there is nothing to withstand you are either gay,bi, etc, or you're not.

You mean you repressed it and are now living a lie which could destroy your wife and kids when your frustrations surface.
