did you post the wrong link possibly? like others i'm failing to see the issue here. its not a greatly written article but there isn't anything too terrible about it. its a documented cycle. i'm not sure why you are bringing God into it either.

edit: okay I see what you mean. the title of the article is very misleading but in the article it makes it pretty clear that its just disappearing from our line of vision and it goes in 8 year cycles like this. of all media issues in this case its pretty minor. at least its pretty accurate as an article and not made up like many other things they report as truth.

edit: If you're protesting the importance of events in the news, then you shouldn't be looking in the SPACE part of the SCIENCE section (where a large Venus sighting would be huge news).

Looking at the planets and stars is evil, the church said so... because the bible is a book filled with astrology and ancient astronomy written in silly little metaphors that the Christians take literally.
