Your car is PREWIRED for the BMW bluetooth module. But it does NOT have the module. So the button is just a button... nothing else.

Trying to buy and install the module is going to be prohibitively expensive and does not make sense.

You have 3 other choices (in order of price and complexity):

    1. Use a bluetooth headset or bluetooth clip-on speaker (max $70)

    2. Use a portable GPS unit with a bluetooth speakerphone feature (about $250)

    3. Change out your sound system to an aftermarket unit which has bluetooth functionality (look at them from www.crutchfield.com)

    Good luck

i have continuously heard that BMWs (and Mercedes, and Audis) are unreliable compared to eastern makes, fantastically Honda and Toyota - yet i have not in any respect owned one, so i will't ensure that. Anecdotally, of the three BMW vendors i understand, one (E46 sedan) is having no issues and 2 (E36 coupe, E36 sedan) are having multiple hassle with their automobiles. by using ways, E46 is the technology you're gazing and E36 is the technology earlier it. interior the link less than, MSN vehicles says the reliability on the motorized vehicle you're gazing is sweet. yet of direction, the biggest aspect is how properly that motor vehicle has been maintained.
