I have been having sleep paralysis for the past 8 or so months. Like everyone else, this feeling left me very intrigued. After having repeated episodes, I feel I have figured out why this happens.

Sleep Paralysis is not as uncommon as one may think, although with people having varying stages of sleep paralysis, some do not notice lesser forms of Sleep Paralysis. I however have very intense sleep paralysis. This allows me to think very well during these episodes. I have narrowed down that sleep paralysis occurs from your subconscious mind and your conscious mind running at near 100% at the same time all while the paralysis (a normal body function that keeps you from acting out your dreams at night) create an awesome experience and sometimes frightening. However that may sound, there is an underlying factor that brings your brain to that error, because all of those things in themselves are actually quite normal. The only thing that isn't is the fact that both subconscious and conscious brain (Which these inherently make you feel like you) are not supposed to be working 100% at the same time (hence the hallucinations that some people see during these episodes) and the "Out of Body Experiences" (being the conscious mind telling the motor system to do its thing, and the motor system not responding whatsoever, but the brain thinks that it is). So having all this in mind, what causes our conscious brain to activate and our unconscious brain along with all of it's creative power to run side by side each other? Well for me, every time I have a sleep paralysis episode, it is always before a feeling of a "head rush", this head rush resembles that of having an immense amount of adrenaline pumped through your brain into your body. This adrenaline rush so to speak, is not normal. It instantly wakes the conscious mind in fact! All while preserving the delicate "sleep mode" process the body has as well. when I re-enact this adrenaline rush when I am awake, I tend to also accidentally re-re enact this while sleeping that night, which in turn gives me another sleep paralysis episode.

So, is this all there is to sleep paralysis? What is your take on this? Have you had sleep paralysis before?

I feel like I need to post what has happened to me and my girlfriend a few months ago during a few nights before I ask my question about what is happening now. A quick cap is maybe 6 months ago me and my girlfriend were in my apartment and fell asleep on the couch, we woke up a few hours later at around 3:00am and went to the bedroom to go to sleep. Well I turned on my fan for noise and conked out. About an hour later we both got woken up to a loud bang (heard it over the loud fan), we both just laid there and I started to drift back to sleep, then, BANG again but this time louder. I was like what the heck and my girlfriend asked what was that, I just told her it was probably the fan or something stupid like that when once again I heard a sound but this time scratching down a wall. I immediately sat up and looked around the room (my eyes could see outlines of things in the room pretty well) I remember seeing my fan located on the dresser and I looked to her and said it was the neighbors and fell asleep.

The next day we awoke and both sorta forgot about it all, that is until we got out of bed and looked at the room. my dresser that once had my charging phone, 2 bottles of clogne, a snowboarding handkerchief and a fan on top of it, now only had a fan barely sitting on top of it. Everything else was thrown around my room. I look down about 6 feet from the dresser and find my phone unhooked from the charger and the back of it has a scrape on it, I look up to the wall and see a scrape along the wall as well (I also see scratches on the metal clogne bottles). This all freaks us out but I have to move on. The next night I end up going to bed (again with my girlfriend) at around 11:00pm, I am awoken again at 3:00am by a low monotone sound in my ear that sounded exactly like on the movie "The Grudge". I immediately yell at my girlfriend to stop doing that which awakens her immediately, saying "what the heck!?" I start to explain what happened when there is a huge bang. This time the sound was extremely loud and I immediately jumped out of bed and ran across the room to turn the light on, thats when I trip on something and hurt my toe. I turn the light on and there is a "Dolly" (like a metal cart for furniture) right in the middle of my room. before I went to sleep it was sitting by my wall near the baseboard. So to make this shorter we stayed up most of the night and had the light on.

Moving on to what has been happening for over a week straight now. We haven't had anything happen physically like that since then, now I have been having nightmares (strong enough ones to wake me up) in the middle of the night. That isn't what scares me, what scares me is for the last four of them I have been looking at the time when I wake up and it is exactly 3:00am every time. that has been scaring me, almost as much as the nightmares do.

Why is this happening to me? How can I make it stop!? My girlfriend is scared too. :/

Hi I am working on my first site and i have a code for html that switches text every x amount of seconds. This code does work but in designer view it takes away my "header" my "sidebar" My "main content" and just shows the rotating text html itself... I need help so that i can have that text rotate on the page and view main content also. Help is very appreciated thank you.

I am getting a new amp and subs for this car but wanted to keep my head unit so that i can keep my steering wheel controls and overall stock look for the car. does anyone know if my subs and amp will sound bad without getting a new headunit? what is the specs on the cars system?

ps. Without the upgraded sound package on car.

Ok i am having a study done on whether my body accepts a certain drug that is being tested. and the study requires me to have 25 blood transfusions every week for 3 weeks but all of them are taken each week in the course of two days... now i have never had that much taken before and am scared that something will happen cause its so much!! please help :/

I will try to condense. Started car at - 2 degrees and started driving immediately. about 5 mins later my car stutters and loses some power so I give it a little more gas but to no avail it just dies. I pull over and try to start it again it turns over a couple times then just stops. I thought it was the battery but no my battery has a full charge on it. Now it wont even turn over. another point that might help is there is no ticking of the sullinoids or whatever usually ticks just empty silence...

I have a BMW that says it is cellphone ready and it has the phone Icon on my steering wheel but since its an older car It doesnt have blu tooth so how do I hook my phone up to the car???

Me and a whole bunch of other friends are getting emails saying that facebook needs to get rid of people that arent using it so If we don't send the message to 15 other people we will be deleted in two weeks.

is that true?

And is there anything else that you have to do to get a good nights rest? Just wondering...

I was staying the weekend at my friends house last June and my friends were teasing me about this girl that was visiting there at the time and how I was going to get to meet her (because all of them already were friends with her) so I was like whatever.

But she came that night to stay at the friends house I was staying at,

and... I thought we really hit it off (I like her alot) she was always teasing me and when I would tease her then she would like push me in a playful way and when we would watch movies she would always sit next to me. Including this one time where she laid her head on my shoulder. so I was like ok before she leaves back I got to give her my number. Well I didnt get a chance to talk to her so I told my friend to give it to her and he did and I guess she was like "Did he really tell you to give this to me?" So The next day she called me and we talked for quite a while about like going snowboarding and how she wanted me to teach her an stuff. but after that she said somethin like "Just so ya know I probably won't be able to call that often because if my mom found out I was talking to a guy over here then she would kill me" And I said somethin like "Oh. Well That Sucks at least you will be back in december an we can go snowboarding". so here we are going on december and I still haven't heard from her since that phone call...

I am getting nervous if she never liked me or if she was just being nice I don't know! but I don't want it to be awkward ya know...

I have a BMW 323i Sport and I love that thing soooo much!

But I recently drove it on a icy day and spun out only to have my rear right wheel hit the curb and bend it. :( The damage was estimated at 7 to 8 thousand, but the closest BMW dealer is 5 hours away!

so it is being fixed by an auto body repair shop where he is going to put in the aluminum suspension himself and the airbags. The thing is is they have never worked on a BMW before!!! Will my car be back to how it was??? Is it something they know how to do???

I have a black BMW that I just bought and am going to get the windows professionally tinted but don't really know what would look good and not tacky or ghetto or rice burner type of a car. Would silver look good or black or would black be too much black???
